Directorate General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
(Ministry of Home Affairs) invites applications from Male Indian citizens for
Temporary post of Constable (Tradesmen) for filling up total 985 Vacancies in
various Trades: Barber, Boot Maker, Cook, Carpenter, Electrician, Motor Pump
Attendant, Painter, Sweeper, Washer Man and Water Carrier. The last date for

Educational Qualification: Matriculation (10th Class) Pass or its
equivalent from a recognized board or university for skilled trades (i.e.
Barber, Boot Maker, Cook, Carpenter, Electrician, Motor Pump Attendant, Painter
and Washer Man). Preference - Industrial Training Institute (ITI) trained
candidates [Except Sweeper & Water Carrier Posts].
Physical Standards:
Height -> 170 Cms for General, SC and OBC; 165 Cms for
Far-Flung Area Candidates; 162.5 Cms for ST Candidates.
Chest -> 80-85 Cms for General, SC and OBC; 78-83 Cms for Far-Flung Area Candidates; 76-81 Cms for ST Candidates.
Weight -> Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Medical Standards:
(1) Eye Sight - Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of
both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
(2) The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, squint in eyes and should have high colour vision. He must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Selection Process: Eligibility Test, Physical Efficiency Test
(PET), Trade Test, Medical Examination.
Application Fee: Rs.50/- in the form of Postal Order drawn in
favour of the officer. SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from
application fee.
